Overview We are seeking a Telemetry Charge Nurse, sometimes referred to as a Telemetry Unit Charge Nurse or Tele Charge RN. A Tele Charge Registered Nurse oversees nursing operations on ourtelemetry unit, coordinating staff assignments, managing patient care, and ensuring continuous cardiac monitoring is safely conducted. They serve as both a clinical expert and team leader, handling emergencies, facilitating communication, and supporting both patients and staff.Shift’s Available: Day ShiftEmployment Type: Part-TimeHours: 7:00am-7:00pm (12-hour shifts)Location: Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KSHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Staff Coordination:assign nursing staff to patients based on patient acuity, nurse experience, and current workloadUnit Supervision:monitoroverall operations of the telemetry unit during the shift, ensuring workflow efficiency and patient safetyDirect Patient Care:provide hands-on care for high-acuity or deteriorating patients when needed, including administering medications and treatmentsTelemetry Monitoring:interpret cardiac telemetry strips,identifiesarrhythmias, andinitiatesappropriate interventionsor escalationsProblem-Solving:act as the go-to person for clinical issues, staff concerns, or resource shortages during the shift Qualifications Education and Work ExperienceCurrent and valid state RN LicenseCurrent BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained current.Current ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained current.Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
