Laboratory Technician

Perform tank analyses to verify product specification. Ensure that all work meets applicable QC/QA guidelinesIdentify data anomalies and determine when follow up is necessaryUnderstand and follow procedures (IE analytical, safety, and quality)Basic troubleshooting of the instrumentationPreventative maintenance in the instrumentation assignedHousekeeping, inventory, and waste disposalBasic statistical data calculations and inputWork with others to complete analytical sequences. Other duties assignedBachelor's Degree Science required (Chemistry or Physical/Life Sciences preferred)1 to 3 years’ experience in a related field preferredExperience with Inbound Receipt analysis using GC for PCB and Chlorine a plusIn-Process and Final Product analyses experience using ICP for Metals, Viscometer, Pour Point, Particle Count, and/or NOACK is preferredExcellent Written Communication Skills- Written and verbalMust be able to work independently as well as in a team environmentKnowledge of Statistical Process Control Follow Laboratory Standard Operating ProceduresLift up to 50lbs, climb, stoop and stand for long periods of timeMust be able to work -Monday to Friday 8am-4pm and every 4th Saturday and Sunday (you will be given off the Friday before and the Monday after on these weekendsSafety-Kleen Systems, a Clean Harbors company, has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
