Description TEAM LEADER - DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGYDANBURY HOSPITALWe are GROWING and seeking a Team Leader in our Radiology group.  Our team is looking for someone with State of CT Radiographer license and at least three years experience in the radiology profession. ARRT/RAD. OR experience strongly desired. Summary:The Team Leader assists in the daily department operation for a specified area such as Outpatient Radiology. Assumes responsibility of the area in the absence of the supervisor. Performs the functions of a Radiology Technologist.Responsibilities:1. Assists the supervisor in the daily operation of the Radiology Department for a specified area. 2. Administers to the department and patient needs in the absence of the supervisor. Provides mentoring and guidance to staff.3. Performs the functions of a Radiology Technologist.4. Provides training and cross training of staff.5. Prepares schedules, orders supplies and implements changes.6. Participates in the department's performance improvement program and initiatives.7. Ensures a safe environment for all staff and patients.8. May provide clinical instruction to prospective radiographers to instill the duties of a radiologic technologist in a health care facility while maintaining excellent patient care.9. May evaluate a students' ability to perform procedures, and assures student attains objectives of each competency. May perform periodic written evaluation of students.10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.11. Performs other duties as assigned.Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENTOther Information:Required: State of CT Radiographer license. Maintains current knowledge of professional discipline & educational methodologies through continuing professional development. Minimum Experience: three years Desired:Working Conditions:Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterityOccupational: Significant occupational riskPhysical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
