Engineering Technician C

Job Description: L3Harris is seeking an Engineering Technician to support maintenance and sustainment of complex systems. The Engineering Technician will provide technical support and timely resolution of defects. Provides case status updates to management and customers. Maintains and updates records in tracking databases and alerts management to emerging trends in incidents, problems, or issues. Essential Functions: Diagnose hardware issues on enterprise servers, disk arrays, monitors, and computersTroubleshoot failures using multiple OS platforms to include Windows, Linux, and UnixConfigure desktops, servers, and various hardware for asset deploymentPerform software builds on multiple baselines by following detailed proceduresMaintain an active record of troubleshooting and repairs using a ticket systemDiagnose, refurbish, and test hardware received from the field and labGather, analyze, and report failure data trends and inventory levelsInform and interact with the engineering team to recommend solutions to problemsPackage, handle, and arrange transportation for incoming and outgoing shipmentsTrack and follow-up on outstanding equipment returnsTransport equipment between lab, warehouse, and repair facilityManage and safeguard assets to include government-furnished propertyProcess new hardware by tagging and capturing asset information into a databasePerform audits of hardware and reconcile asset databasesProvide guidance to on-site technicians during quarterly preventative maintenancePerform responsibilities in accordance with established proceduresWork requires independent action to resolve issuesQualifications: Public Trust ClearanceRequires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Experience in a manufacturing, repair depot, or integration environment.Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasksPreferred Additional Skills: Experience providing support to DoD/FAA customersCandidate needs strong Office tool skills along with a broad instrumentation hardware and software knowledge.#LI-NB1 L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
