Sr. Engineer

Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical leadership for day-to-day operations Responsible for planning, direction and coordination of all program engineering efforts Responsible for technical performance, engineering costs and schedules, and serves as the Contractor's primary technical point of contact for projects and programs Maintain and expand knowledge of current and developing technologies, design and analysis methodologies, and develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development Advises management and customer on operations and research studies and applications, technology assessments, schedule, and budget requirements Advises Event Directors and Event Designers on capabilities to meet test/training event(s) requirements Support design reviews Requirements MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in: computer science; engineering; mathematics, management of information systems; cybersecurity; or a related field of study Direct experience with software development and requirements management Proven experience leading teams in the development/improvement of new and existing products, solutions, and processes Experience with project logistics especially managing and balancing project resources across multiple competing priorities to include securing adequate resources to meet schedule Experience working government programs with controlled engineering baselines Intermediate level knowledge of cybersecurity, including common risks to IT systems and of enterprise IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage) Basic knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies Intermediate knowledge of computer networking and IT Service Management best practices Familiarity with cyber range tools, including deployment automation, configuration automation, monitoring, and traffic generation Experience managing a large scale data center Effective communication skills; ability to accurately convey project status, and to identify, assess, and mitigate program risks Ability to express technical ideas to senior decision makers DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree with a focus in computer science; computer and information sciences, engineering, mathematics, management information systems, cybersecurity, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant computer science topics Twenty or more (20+) years of related, proven experience Advanced knowledge of IT Service Management best practices SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL ABOUT US Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
