Vice President of Supply Chain

Overview

American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Vice President of Supply Chain .

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded Vice President of Supply Chain to join our team. This key leadership role will drive operational excellence and foster continuous improvement across multiple operating segments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing initiatives that generate substantial returns and cost savings while focusing strategically on optimizing supply chain operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall objectives and goals. Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, sales, and others in the organization to optimize supply chain processes, enhance efficiency, and drive cost savings with a focus on implementing best practices and standard operating procedures. Utilize extensive meat and food processing industry knowledge and experience to provide strategic leadership and guidance to all supply chain-related activities. Lead and manage continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. Leverage data, business analytics, and technology to drive data-driven decision-making and develop actionable insights. Establish and monitor success measures to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain operations. Lead and support the organization in its talent development efforts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth. Conduct regular visits to our facilities and businesses to stay close to the business and leaders while working closely with them to execute all initiatives. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering substantial returns and cost savings through supply chain optimization efforts. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and change management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, influence and drive organizational change, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Knowledge and experience in data and business analytics, and ERP systems (Infor M3 preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive, hands-on experience in supply chain management within the meat and food processing industry, with a deep understanding of processing and animal harvest operations. Professional certifications in supply chain management or related areas. Prior Procurement Experience in a meat or food organization.  Lean Six Sigma certification. Bilingual in Spanish

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strategic mindset that can align supply chain initiatives with broader business objectives. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focusing on driving continuous improvement. Proven track record of developing and executing successful supply chain strategies in a complex, fast-paced environment. Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and drive positive change. Servant leadership and ability to be present at the different facilities to not only build relationships but also execute all initiatives. Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
