Lead Medical Laboratory TechnicianMed Center Health is proud to partner with Intuitive Health to bring a new, innovative hybrid emergency and urgent care facility — Med Center Health Emergency + Urgentcare — to Bowling Green, KY. This position will be based within the new Med Center Health Emergency + Urgentcare facility located at 457 Lovers Lane in The Hub. Position Summary Provides leadership and direction to Medical Laboratory Technicians to ensure the accurate and efficient performance of laboratory testing and the delivery of high-quality diagnostic results. Oversees and enforces departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices in laboratory medicine. Manages personnel by supervising workflow, supporting professional development, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing employee concerns to foster a collaborative and accountable team environment. Coordinates staff scheduling and performs administrative leadership duties while serving in a hybrid role as both Team Leader and Medical Laboratory Technician. Performs and reports a wide range of laboratory procedures and tests, from simple to complex, requiring the application of scientific techniques and specialized skills. Operates and maintains sophisticated electronic laboratory equipment while adhering to strict quality control, safety, and patient care protocols. Demonstrates efficiency, accuracy, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and patient-centered laboratory environment. Minimum Qualifications One year of Medical Laboratory Technician experience required. Associate’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related scientific field required. Certification as Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) required within one year from hire or placement.
