Job Summary: As a Media Planner at IZEA, you will be responsible for developing and executing media plans that leverage the power of social media influencers to meet our clients' marketing objectives. You will collaborate with the strategy and paid implementation team, along with Client Partners and Campaign Manager teams, to create well-rounded and effective campaigns. The Media Planner is responsible for leading the success of client-paid social media campaigns by providing thoughtful leadership on campaign strategies and optimization, and establishing effective lines of communication and relationships with clients, partners, and internal team members. The ideal candidate is: An excellent team player working closely with the Strategy, Sales, and Campaign Management Teams. A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital media planning and influencer trends. Able to effectively develop, execute, and report on media strategies for clients. Responsibilities: Media Strategy: Develop data-driven media strategies to reach client objectives through influencer marketing campaigns. Audience Insights: Utilize tools and analytics to identify target audiences and understand their behaviors, preferences, and demographics. Budget Management: Plan and manage budgets effectively to maximize ROI while ensuring campaign objectives are met. Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with the Campaign Manager team to align campaign goals and optimizations for each Client campaign. Performance Analysis: Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights to optimize ongoing and future campaigns. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure they are informed about campaign progress and results. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends and new tools to ensure that our strategies remain innovative and competitive. Demonstrated experience buying and planning across multiple platforms including Meta, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, X(Twitter), Reddit, Pinterest & LinkedIn. Experience working in a client-facing capacity. Experience using paid media to complement earned media campaigns and meet business objectives. Proficiency in MS Office (specific strengths in Excel) and G Suite (Google Sheets). Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks. Genuine interest in the digital media space and enjoys staying up-to-date on industry trends. Compile competitive research and insights. Develop and execute media plans. Pull and oversee media tracking implementation of pixels/conversion event tags. Provide strategic paid recommendations with supporting rationale and POVs. Negotiate rates with media publishers/vendors and always look for new media buying opportunities. Optimize campaign strategy and tactics to maximize campaign results to ensure client goals are achieved. Conduct post-buy media analysis and report on results with key insights and recommendations for future growth. Develop strong relationships with media vendors, clients, and the internal team. Present to clients in a manner representative of the ethos of the agency. Qualifications: Minimum 4+ years of experience working with a variety of paid media channels, including paid social, performance marketing, YouTube, display, and paid search. BA/BS or equivalent. Demonstrable experience with campaign planning, optimization, and analysis. The ability to think skillfully around both creatively and analytically, and an understanding of how they work together to drive ROI. Hands-on experience with digital ad platforms, including Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads (preferably across all platforms, including YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, X(Twitter), Reddit, Pinterest & LinkedIn). Should have experience in creating, passing, and overseeing the successful implementation of tracking pixels. Solid understanding of ad formats, segmentation, personas, trends, and platforms in paid media and performance marketing. Experience overseeing campaigns from initial planning through execution and reporting. Organized with the ability to multitask. Team player with the ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills and experienced and comfortable interfacing with clients. Strong deck-building capabilities. Constant focus on outcomes and solutions. Desire to learn and grow with the department, our clients, and yourself.
