Why This is an Exciting Role :As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead at BI&A, you will be leading the comprehensive quality assurance and quality control efforts across multiple programs under the Analysis & Production (A&P) umbrella. The individual is responsible for overseeing the design, development, andexecution of software development, testing, verification, and validation processes, ensuring that all software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and functionality.Key responsibilities include:Development and execution of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout development and maintenance lifecyclesMonitoring operations to prevent the production of defects and to verify adhere to quality plans and requirementsAnalysis and investigation of adverse quality trends or conditions and initiation of corrective actionPartnering with stakeholders to identify and review software development requirements, test objectives, and strategiesLeading the development and maintenance of automated CI/CD and test procedures and frameworksBeyond these technical responsibilities, this role serves as a primary point of contact for government and program leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all A&P programs. We have provided our customers with the tools needed to counter evolve global and cyber threats, and to improve wartime decision-making.Our talented employees bring software development, systems engineering, and advanced analytics expertise.We offer numerous prime contract opportunities with customers headquartered in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, as well as subcontract opportunities that align with our areas of focus and additional opportunities nationwide through our parent company.We have current open positions on awarded programs across diverse customer sets and are anticipating upcoming contract awards with a 5-year life cycle and an additional 5 option years.Our diverse portfolio allows our employees to move to other projects and teams as they gain further proficiency in their current skill set and learn new skill sets along the way. We offer hands-on access to cutting-edge technologies and a culture of technical excellence. Experience and Qualifications:To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience: 13+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, and/or software and systems engineering.A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for 4 years of experience, and a Master’s degree may alternatively be substituted for 6 years of experience.Required Qualifications: ​Active TS/SCI with PolygraphDemonstrable experience leading software development and/or testing activities.Demonstrable experience with quality assurance frameworks, processes, and/or procedures.Experience with automated testing tools and suites.Experience developing and implementing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and researching and implementing best practices.Desired Qualifications: ​Experience with DIA’s PaaS (Platform as a Service) or other PaaS environments.Experience working in an Agile software development environment.Experience with GitLab, including CI/CD (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment) pipelines.Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, and/or Bash.Experience investigating and resolving technical issues, including RCA (Root Cause Analysis)Knowledge of Docker or other containerization tools.Telework/Remote Availability:  Hybrid work is authorized (minimum 3 days per week on-site)Work Location(s): Annapolis Junction, MD; Washington, DC; Reston, VASummary Pay Range:Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
