We are looking for a highly organized, flexible, and energetic individual to work in the laboratory of Oleg Alekseev, MD, PhD, where we study molecular basis of vision and related visual diseases. The full-time Research Technician II position will involve characterization of transgenic mouse and fish colonies and lab work employing cutting edge molecular, imaging and cellular techniques. A background in biochemistry, biology, neurosciences or other related disciplines is required. BA/BS and experience/ability to handle laboratory animals are also required. This position is ideal for a new graduate seeking experience in research and/or planning graduate, medical or veterinary school career in the future. Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $19.06 to USD $28.85.
