Job Description: Keller Schroeder is looking for an IT Systems Administrator for our client in Mt. Carmel, IL. This is a direct hire, full-time role. The Systems Administrator will keep systems running smoothly and providing excellent support to the internal customers. This position will balance back-end systems work with front-line support. Our client is unable to provide sponsorship at this time. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain servers, networks, and core systems (on-prem and/or cloud) Support Active Directory, group policies, user permissions, and system access Troubleshoot and resolve more complex IT issues escalated from the help desk Provide friendly, responsive support to end users when higher-level assistance is needed Monitor system performance, backups, and security Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and other IT projects Document processes, configurations, and system changes Requirements: Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and/or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to translate technical issues into simple, user-friendly language Ability to balance project work with user support and prioritize tasks effectively Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and on a team Willingness to work on-site in Mt. Carmel, IL Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) Familiarity with Office 365 administration and endpoint management tools Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, or VMware a plus
