Title:  Production Planner IIDate: October 3, 2025 Location:  South El Monte, US, 91733Company: VACCO Industries an RBC CompanySUMMARY: With minimal supervision, is responsible for the maintenance of optimum finished goods inventory levels to meet or exceed customer expectations in Delivery, Service and Reliability.  Responsible for planning and scheduling "make to order" parts based on actual sales orders and forecasts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Take total ownership, responsibility and accountability for assigned product line(s) in order to represent product(s) at production meetings.Manage plant inventory levels for assigned projects which includes ordering the correct quantities, determining the appropriate lead times, tracking the available storage space, and identifying reasons that require inventory adjustments and correcting the cause. Create and generate required Work Orders and Purchase Requisitions to make or buy required piece parts for subassemblies and assemblies for assigned projects.Manage the completion of each component to support the project schedule.Recommend ECN's (Engineering Change Notices) as it occurs during manufacturing process.Negotiate schedule deviations and priority with Contracts, Quality, Shop and Project Managers.Keep Manager informed of unresolved production scheduling issues requiring attention.Maintain planning documents in a manner suitable to support and comply with the department standard operating procedures, as well as the Company and AS9100/ISO/CFR/DFAR standards. Other duties as assigned by Production, Sr Materials Planning Manager, or VP of Supply Chain.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of four (4) years of experience in planning and scheduling preferably in an Aerospace manufacturing environment.  Minimum three (3) year experience using an integrated (MRP/ERP) system required.  Understanding of master scheduling and forecasting processes.  Possess excellent verbal communication skills both verbal and written, to support effective correspondence with internal as well as external customers.   Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks to completion.   Ability to interact with various internal departments.  Ability to read and interpret Blueprint drawings and specifications. Proficiency using MS Office software i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:A BA/BS degree with a minimum of four (4) years of experience working in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS::Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to apply simple math concepts i.e. adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focuses.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Majority of work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort.  Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.  On occasion may be required to enter production area where the employee may be in the presence of moving mechanical parts and the possibility of exposure to fumes or airborne particles.  Noise level in plant and/or shop work area is usually moderate.This description indicates the general nature of the tasks and responsibilities required of positions given this classification.  It is not intended as a complete list of specific duties and responsibilities, nor is it intended to limit or modify the right of management to assign, direct and control specific duties of individuals performing this function.  The Company reserves the right to change, modify, amend, add to or delete from any section of this document as it seems, in its judgment, to be proper.  This description supersedes any previous description for this position.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.SUMMARY: Assembles pneumatic and hydraulic valves, partially or completely, and conducts a variety of tests on systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to acceptance procedures or to determine cause of unit failure by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Conducts high pressure and cryogenic testing safely.Working from blueprints assembles and tests various valves and filters within allotted timeframe and insures conformance with assembly performance tests specifications.Working from blueprints, work orders, quality control test manuals, performance specifications, schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.Calibrates test instruments according to specifications.Analyzes test results related to the design and test objectives, modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.Records these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data and recommendations for changes in product or test method.Compares results with specifications and documents test data.Assembles various quiet disc stacks.Analyzes test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.Verifies dimensions of mechanical parts using hand-held measuring equipment such as micrometers, indicators and depth mikes.Verifies dimensions of mechanical parts using hand-held measuring equipment.Knowledge of chem etching (markings), tube bending and how to clean parts in pre-clean.Ability to operate and maintain equipment such as Instron machines, AstroMed and mass spectrometer.Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, quality control personnel and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.Capable of operating airborne and structure borne noise measurement equipment.QUALIFICATIONS: Possess interpersonal skills required to build relationships and work in a team environment.Possess good leadership skills.Good communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to use good judgment in decision making and problem solving.Ability to read and interpret blueprint and schematic drawings.Working knowledge of standard test equipment i.e. data recorders, pressure transducers and gauges, flow measuring devices, environmental chambers, thermo-coupling, and helium leak detectors.Proficiency in the use of MS software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.Basic knowledge of plant operations and processes.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two year certificate from college or technical school; with three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or a High School Diploma or GED Certificate and five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.EMPLOYEMENT INFORMATION: This position requires U.S. citizenship.To formally apply, please complete the following step:Visit the VACCO Careers Portal and search for the position using the exact job title provided in this posting.
