Job Description DescriptionFood Prep C ( Cook )-Mount Sinai HospitalPrepares, cooks and dispenses food in accordance with specifications, quality standards and sanitary regulations. Assigns work to Cooks and Cook's Helpers. Maintains par level and delivers food entrees to Cafeteria steam-table, assist cooking supervisors as required.ResponsibilitiesWashes, chops, slices, weighs, measures and mixes ingredients and prepares individual portions in accordance with specifications and cooking instructions.Cooks food as assigned following detailed recipes and procedures. Uses all appropriate cooking equipment such as gas ovens, ranges, fryers and various utensils.Assigns a variety of meal preparation tasks to Cook's Helper, such as washing, slicing and mixing ingredients, panning and seasoning foods.Maintains cleanliness, safety and general appearance of cooking stations. The salary range for the role is $29.3985 - $31.5071 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
