We're Hiring: Scientist I We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scientist I to join our research team in Pleasanton. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in scientific principles and demonstrate the ability to contribute to innovative projects that advance our understanding of key areas in science. Location: Pleasanton, CARole: Scientist IPay Scale: $55,473 – $94,434 (Dependent on Experience) Your main responsibilities as a Scientist I:After introduction to work processes, begins to organize, conduct and monitor laboratory experiments utilizing established and published procedures, and technical and theoretical understanding.Assumes responsibility for the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of experimental results.Summarizes experimental results, and reviews conclusions with supervisor/project leader.Communicates results of experiments.Keeps supervisor/project leader informed of project status, particularly of significant findings and results in critical problem areas.What we are looking for in a Scientist I:Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-experienceLess than 1 year Related experience Or 1 year Related experienceExperience with developing molecular diagnostic tests, including optimization of reagents, tests, and methods as well as design verification and validation evaluations.PCR assay data analysis methods, training or experience in the use of industry standard development tools, process capability analysis, and use of computers and IT systems is highly desired.
