Medical Assistant – Outpatient | PET/CT Center, Fairfax, VA | Full-Time | Weekdays Only Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metro area — is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team at the PET/CT Center in Fairfax, VA . In this role, you’ll support patient care, assist technologists and physicians, and help ensure a smooth, safe, and positive experience for every patient. Why You’ll Love Working Here Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance Generous PTO & Paid Holidays Tuition & CE Reimbursement Clinical Ladder Shift Differential (where applicable) Employer-paid Disability Insurance Profit Sharing Plan Uniform Allowance About the Role Location: PET/CT Center, Fairfax, VA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM No call, evenings, or major holidays You’ll work closely with technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff to prepare patients, assist with procedures, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized department. What You’ll Do Assist technologists and physicians with patient care and clinical procedures Initiate IVs as needed Prepare patients for their exams and provide clear communication before and after procedures Participate in emergency response efforts to ensure immediate and appropriate patient care Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical areas Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and all state and federal safety and compliance regulations What You’ll Bring 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience High school diploma Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Diploma 1+ years of experience in phlebotomy or IV placement BLS for Healthcare Provider/AED certification Strong communication, patient service, and teamwork skills Equal Opportunity Employer FRC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, age, religion, sex (including pregnancy), gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, military service, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.
