This role involves a mix of templated and custom law & motion work. While many motions follow firm templates, some require extensive legal research, original drafting, and strategic writing, especially for dispositive motions like MSJs.In addition to drafting, the attorney will be expected to make court appearances both in-person and virtual and may also be asked to cover depositions and hearings on behalf of the Firm. Candidates should be confident, organized, and comfortable representing the firm in a courtroom setting.Duties:Draft and oppose a variety of motions, including motions for summary judgment/adjudication, demurrers, motions tostrike, motions in limine, and discovery-related motions.Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing litigationCollaborate with trial attorneys and litigation teams to develop a strategyPrepare legal memoranda, oppositions, and repliesReview and analyze discovery responses, deposition transcripts, and medical records as needed for motion work.Ensure timely filing and compliance with all applicable deadlines.Appear in court, including covering depositions and making in-person and virtual appearances on behalf of the firmQualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school.Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience handling law and motion in personal injury litigation (Plaintiff or Defense)Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage high-volume motion work while meeting tight deadlines.Familiarity with local rules in Los Angeles and the surrounding counties.Proficiency in Westlaw, Microsoft Office, and legal case management systems.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation Range: $120,000 – $150,000 (DOE)Plus Commission / Attorney Fee BonusesComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision (HMO/PPO options)Life, AD&D, and Aflac supplemental insurance401(k), FSA, and Pet Insurance optionsVacation, Sick, and Holiday Pay (accrue from your first paycheck)Paid Parking or Transportation StipendMCLE, Bar Dues, CAALA Events, and Professional Development are fully coveredTuition benefits and continuing education reimbursementCollaborative team structure with strong administrative and paralegal supportRecognized as a Glassdoor 4.8-star rated employer for firm culture and employee satisfactionLocation:Los Angeles, California (90010)Hybrid work schedule ***Please note that we at Career Consulting Partners will be sure to keep your information private.
