Learn more at .Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable, flexible, and enthusiastic Caregiver Professional to join our team in supporting a wonderful woman who lives in the Point Loma area. She has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and is passionate about living a self-directed life, full of creativity, choice, and community connection. She enjoys creating art, visiting local shops and restaurants, and exploring the world around her with curiosity and joy.The right candidate will be someone who is respectful, patient, and genuinely interested in supporting her independence and personal growth. She enjoys going out to eat, shopping, and savoring sweet treats. An artist at heart, she continues to explore her creativity with some prompting and support, and she is a strong self-advocate who communicates her wants and desires using a communication device.Living with cerebral palsy, she requires assistance with caregiving tasks to maintain her independence in her beautiful home. At Life Works, our goal is to help the people we support live out their dreams and aspirations "one step at a time," and this client embodies that spirit beautifully.We're seeking caring, adaptable individuals to join our team in a role that's diverse, intimate, and always evolving. You'll provide personal care and support with daily living skills, paid training is included. The person you'll support relies on her team for opportunities, safety, and communication partnership, so prior hands-on experience with caregiving, Hoyer lifts, transfers, ADLs, and personal care is highly valued.
