Cook/Back of House***HIRING IMMEDIATELY***FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING1/2 OFF SHIFT MEALSPAID VACATIONSROOM FOR ADVANCEMENT?#INDSJEssential Job Functions:Speak and understand conversational English, read menus in English including comprehension of basic measurements and equivalentsAble to multi-task and work efficiently, effectively, accurately, and quickly to maintain stock of menu items within assigned areaAccurately prepare menu items according to each individual orderVisually observe food and discard food. Track and inform management of any food items discardedKeep assigned area clean and walk-ins, reach-ins clutter-free with restaurant issued cleaning suppliesMaintain master knowledge of food items and recipes to prepare food.Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Be flexible and able to assist, including preparation and closing in all areas in the back of the house when needed.When closing, discard, restock and maintain all food items.Transition next shift cook on current day's progress, menu items, and set-ups completed.Prepare set-ups, maintain organized walk-ins, complete cleaning/operational checklists.Maintain attendance in accordance with the employee handbook.Other duties, tasks, and/or projects as assigned.Answering the phones and placing carry-out orders.Fill in for other Host/Cashier side duties such as bathroom cleaning, cleaning of the parking lot, sweeping and mop entryway, and cleaning doors and/or windows.General Physical Demands for the Position:Cooks will regularly stand for long periods of time up to 6-9 hours, bend, stoop, turn, lift, talk, walk, walk on uneven ground, carry and lift up to fifty (50) pounds. They prepare all meals quickly, efficiently, and to standard. The kitchen is kept clean at all times and the flow of meals in the kitchen is managed effectively.Key Responsibilities:Ability to work around high heatAbility to interact positively with each and every Guest and exhibit genuine hospitalityMeals are served with a presentation in mind and hand-delivered to each waiting GuestEnsure proper food safety and sanitation standards to ensure Guest safetyAll dietary restrictions for our Guests are executed wellStations, adjacent areas, and countertops are kept clean throughout the shiftSpeed ensures a fast-moving line and a positive Guest experiencePersonal Requirements:Must have an upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitudeExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively within a teamAbility to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. as neededContinuous use of hands and armsContinuous bending, reaching, and twistingMaintains strong personal image and uniform standardsPI237f93f060db-30511-35528465
