Join our team as an Embraer Crew Chief and take charge in the critical role of leading our team of specialized A&P Mechanics. The Crew Chief has the ultimate responsibility for the quality of maintenance work and turn time. This individual will supervise a crew of skilled technicians and shop personnel in the maintenance of Embraer corporate aircraft to ensure maintenance is accomplished successfully, outdates are met, and customers are satisfied.StandardAero Houston has been a premier Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility for over 50 years, specializing in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Learjet, Challenger, and Embraer. In addition to comprehensive airframe services, the facility features a state-of-the-art engine shop and test cell, performing overhauls on TFE731 and CFE738 engines. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, StandardAero Houston is dedicated to keeping business aviation flying safely and efficiently. What to Expect in this Role: Be the technical expert and leader on our Embraer Team, supporting Legacy, Praetor and Phenom airframes. Manage a crew of A&P Mechanics performing routine and heavy maintenance on Embraer corporate aircraft. Appraise, recommend salary and other status change, reward, recognize and discipline members of the crew. Assign work to crew members based upon scheduled outdates and the technical expertise of the various employees. Provide technical guidance to technicians on aircraft maintenance configurations, as well as service bulletins, directives, and enhancements. Monitor hours charged to a job to assure that costs are controlled and outdates met. Reviews employee time cards on a daily basis to verify accuracy of time charged to work orders. Review workbook for sign-offs and parts issues after departure, but prior to closing in the inspection department. Perform final “walk around” to ensure aircraft cleanliness and readiness for departure. Assure that crew members are well-trained on assigned aircraft, that they are scheduled for periodic technical training in-house or at designated off-site locations. Perform ‘hands-on’ maintenance as required to assure an on-time departure and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with other departments as needed to assure that customers have a positive experience at the facility. Actively work to simplify for efficiency, ease of work performance, quality, and turnaround time. Basic Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years experience as an A&P Mechanic performing heavy maintenance on Embraer corporate aircraft (Legacy/Praetor/Phenom). Experience leading and/or supervising a crews of A&P Mechanics. Specialized certifications and/or OEM training relevant to Embraer corporate aircraft (. CAE, Flight Safety, Embraer) Ability to work outside of designated work hours, as well as weekends/overtime as needed. Valid FAA A&P License Must be authorized to work in the . without sponsorship. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of seven (7) years experience as an A&P Mechanic in corporate aviation working with Embraer aircraft. Proven ability to interact with customers, explain complex technical issues, and resolve customer concerns.
