Our 24,100 employees at 1,300 operating locations provide our customers with top-quality, innovative products and services. Position Overview The heavy equipment mechanic is responsible for lubricating and servicing the company's mobile equipment from haul trucks and assorted paving and construction equipment. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policiesAdhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc. Responsible for own personal safety at all times; as well as maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job. Lubricate all lube points on equipment. Communicate with shop foreman or site foreman for scheduling and status of repairs. Communicate with vendors and purchasing agent for parts ordering. Identify the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.Examine vehicle and Identify any possible maintenance issueReplaces parts such as lights, brakes, bearings, springs, etc.Services items such as gearboxes, hydraulic systems, engine oilsPerforms basic shop clean up (floors, windows, walls, etc)Empties oil containers and trash containersControl costs on all repairs.Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as assigned.Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, customers, and the general public at all times.Other duties as assigned RequirementsCurrent Drivers License and reliable source of transportation.Must submit to a drug screen, criminal background check.  Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.  2-5 Years of previous experience preferred. Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines. Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is helpful.Basic computer skills are needed.Experience with diagnostic tools.Able to work various shifts to meet customer demand.  What CRH Offers You Highly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion   About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
