HVAC Maintenance Technician

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hudson, Florida. The HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on residential and/or commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and able to work in Florida’s outdoor climate conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and ventilation equipmentInspect systems to identify wear, damage, or potential failuresTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issuesReplace filters, belts, motors, and other minor componentsMaintain accurate service records and documentationFollow all safety procedures and company policiesCommunicate clearly with customers regarding system condition and recommended maintenanceComply with all applicable state and local codes and regulations Specific QualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED1+ years of HVAC maintenance experience (preferred)EPA Section 608 Certification (required)Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving recordBasic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systemsAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentPreferred QualificationsHVAC trade school or technical certificationExperience with commercial HVAC systemsFamiliarity with Florida building codesStrong customer service skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbingAbility to work in hot, humid, outdoor environmentsComfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spacesManual dexterity to use hand and power toolsAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Company OverviewIES Residential, Inc. is one of the nation's largest and most respected electrical, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and cable solutions providers for single-family homes and multi-family complexes since 1973.
