At First Quality, you’ll find a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning, professional development, and our mission to Make Things Better®Job Title: Manufacturing/Process Engineering Intern or Co-OpLocation: Anderson, SC (First Quality Tissue)Mentor: Continuous Improvement EngineerJob Purpose:The Manufacturing/Process Engineer’s primary focus involves optimizing manufacturing processes and systems to improve production, efficiency, quality, and safety in production.Job Responsibilities: This position could be responsible for a broad range of activities on production assets and will work alongside the production team and maintenance teams.Maintain day-to-day machine parameters to target. Performance Improvement- Analyzing existing manufacturing processes and implementing modifications to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.Problem Solving- Identifying and troubleshooting process upsets or changes to product quality and implementing effective solutions.Technology Integration- Evaluating and incorporating new technologies to improve production efficiency and product quality including, running trials for new materials and equipment.Documentation and Standards- Maintaining documentation of manufacturing processes and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.Skill DevelopmentTeam Collaboration, Problem Solving, Data Analysis, AgilityExperience / Skills:The ideal candidate will be working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Paper Science, Packaging Science), with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
