Overview We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), internally referred to as our Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Therapist. As our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you are responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.Shift’s Available: daysEmployment Type: per diem/PRNHours: 8 hour shiftLocation: Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, KSHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: competitive compensationgenerous medical benefits plan401K Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):provide coverage for inpatients in the acute care settingthe candidate who fills this position will provide coverage for hospital inpatients in the acute care settingresponsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician90%-95% of our referral are swallow related; we do some cognitive/speech evaluations and treatment as wellassists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the departmentif working weekends, the weekend shift is an on-call shift on Saturday 8:00a - 9:00a with call-back pay if called in Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in Speech Therapylicensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathologycurrent BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain currentAdditional Qualifications That Are a Plus:MS degree in Speech-Language Pathologyone year of experience with swallow assessment and treatment in an acute care hospital settingone year of experience in acute careFull benefits at Prime Healthcare:
