Job Summary :The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Automation will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our electro-mechanical equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics principles, programing, running machines as well as the ability to perform electro/mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Automation must be detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Must relate machine automation with Genomic principles and lab techniques for lab processes and chemistry. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify faults and potential issues.Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Troubleshoot equipment and machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determine the appropriate course of action.Repair or replace defective electronic parts, such as sensors, switches, circuit boards, and wiring, using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic software.Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks, accurately and comprehensively.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electronic equipment and machinery.Stay updated on advancements in electronic/automation technology and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.Ability to run and provide basic programing of automated equipment.Cooper’s management team is committed to the development of and implementation of the quality management system and maintaining its effectiveness by communicating to the organization the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.Travel: Travel may be required to attend meetings or visit manufacturing sites.
