Daily responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, while maintaining their dignity and respect. You will monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff, ensuring a responsive care plan. Additionally, you will provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a warm environment for patients and their families.Your day will involve collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, participating in care planning meetings, and following established safety protocols. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring all equipment is properly utilized and sanitized. This role demands compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those you serve every day.Requirements for this Hospice Aide jobTo excel as a Full-Time Hospice Aide at VNA of Ohio Hospice Operations, LLC, several key skills and qualifications are necessary.A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program and current CNA certification.Ideally, candidates should have at least one year of experience working as a hospice aide or nursing assistant in various healthcare settings.Compassionate care is essential; you should demonstrate an ability to provide empathetic and respectful personal care while helping patients with daily activities.Strong observation skills are necessary to monitor patients' physical and emotional conditions, with a commitment to accurately document and report any changes to the healthcare team.Effective communication skills are crucial for interacting with patients, families, and team members.
