Entry Level CAD Technician

Overview Our Entry Level Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Technician role, in our Pittsburgh, PA office, provides you the opportunity to design state-of-the-art manufacturing, oil & gas, water treatment and power facilities. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a passion to gain professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects. You are part of a team working on projects that make our clients successful today, while helping them develop and capitalize on emerging technologies. Candidates must have knowledge of computer aided drafting software. You will be using Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Qualifications Coordinate with lead engineer or designer to develop 3D and 2D design drawings for the mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplinesCoordinate with lead engineer or designer to develop 2D general arrangement drawings for industrial facilitiesEvaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with other designers and engineers0 – 2 years of experienceTechnical associate degree or high school diploma and equivalent experience on heavy industrial and manufacturing type projectsKnowledge of computer aided drafting softwareAbility to work with engineers and senior designers to develop mechanical, electrical, and structural designs in 3D and 2DFamiliar with using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and ExcelPossess excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform field/site visitsAbility to travel (estimated travel time is 10%)Preferred QualificationsProficient in the use of REVIT, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and AutoCADWorking knowledge of other 3D design software such as Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, etc. About Us We have experts CEC is consistently ranked as a Top 500 Design Firm and Top 200 Environmental Firm by Engineering News-Record.
