Security Guard

Position Location: Canton, OHHours: Site one - 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a Hours: Site two - 1130a-530p, 530p-1130p. Weekend availability required. Do NOT bother applying if you are unable to work weekends. Pay: Starts at $14.50/hr. After 90 days with all training completed and you have 100% attendance (no call-off's) - will increase to $15.00. If you call off and your training is complete, you will not receive an increase. Bottom line, dedication is the word of the day. Increases annually thereafter based on performance - NOT seniority. There is an attendance point system in place. If you habitually call off your current job, please, dont bother applying with us.Required Uniform: You supply black BOOTS (not tennis shoes), black nylon belt. We supply shirt, pants, ball cap and winter beanie with winter coat. It's called a uniform for a reason. If we dont issue it to you - you DO NOT wear it. Pretty simple. Requirements: - if you smoke pot or do drugs, dont waste our time or yours (even with a 'medical card') - we cannot and will not hire you. You must be able to pass a drug test. We may not do it during your interview - but random testing does and will occur.- if you have points on your driving records - dont waste our time or yours - we will be unable to put you behind a wheel. You MUST have a clean driving record.- if you have any criminal convictions or a felony records - regardless of how long ago it occurred, c'mon now- dont bother applying - we cannot, and will not hire you. You must pass a background check.- the ability to read, write and speak the english language. Prepare and produce well documented reports that are clear, concise and professional. You must be able to read and write. Outlook and MS Excel experience preferred, or, the ability to USE TECHNOLOGY and be an active learner. Position Summary: A Signal Dedicated Guard will conduct static security services for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety. Responsibilities: Will conduct and deliver various dedicated services that reflect the company's values, expectations, and consistent service in alignment with site specific instructions/post orders.Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that align with site instruction/post orders.The Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations Interacting with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship while striving to provide peace of mind.Consistently communicates with the Advanced Dedicated Guard or the Dedicated Branch Supervisor to promptly report any customer or property related information and concerns.Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, vehicles, and devices, etc.Consistently deescalate issues through communication in a professional and prompt manner.Manage daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by the Dedicated Branch Supervisor such as reporting standards and service quality.Communicate with the Dedicated Branch Supervisor to receive and disseminate information through Branch Supervisor Daily Scrum, such as the client needs and post order changes to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.Requirements:18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or GEDPass background check and drug testMust have reliable transportationComplete training modules within first monthExcellent organization, oral, and written communication skills Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all timesMust be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds ?Signal is an equal opportunity employer.
