Welders are responsible for using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding to fabricate products from blueprints with careful attention to detail to meet and exceed customer expectations.Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality weldsWork from blueprints, to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures Operate hand grinders as neededVisually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the productHigh School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school levelAbility to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbsAbility to do other duties as assigned 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production settingAbility to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environmentHigh School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school levelAbility to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbsAbility to do other duties as assigned 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production settingAbility to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environmentWORKING CONDITIONS:Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water.
