Senior Level Mechanical EngineerJob Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:At POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, the Facilities Division seeks a Senior level Mechanical Engineer to join our Boise, Idaho; Madison, Wisconsin or Overland Park, Kansas location. The Facilities Division specializes in Food & Beverage, Federal, and Industrial facility design. We are responsible leaders with a focus on the future while providing functional and high-performing projects. Our goal is to deliver the best possible projects and experience for our clients, users, and communities. We do this through the integration of responsible design that includes new buildings, remodels, and additions as well as studies and evaluations of existing systems. A major component of our work is providing engineering services to help our clients change and adapt their facilities and systems to meet their changing goals.Required Education/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical EngineeringPE LicenseCandidate should have 15+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping design and be able to perform work requiring independent judgement, knowledge of engineering principles, procedures, and code requirementsAbility to work with and be supported by other Junior engineers Shall be capable of self-performing all mechanical engineering tasks associated with the project; from proposal, design and drafting, engineering calculations, cost estimate, to client reviewsAbility to mentor other Junior or Entry-level Mechanical Engineers.Solid foundation of design and drafting utilizing AutoCad or Revit softwareKnowledge of mechanical systems and theory, such as; heating and chilled water (hydronics), steam, compressed air, refrigeration, natural gas, and high pressure waterGood oral and written communication skills with cross disciplinary team members and clientsDemonstrated ability to self-manage and produce resultsDesired Education/ExperienceAutodesk Revit, MEP and/or Plant 3D experienceMember of ASHRAE and IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
