Technical Architecture Team: The Technical Domain Architecture team consists of hands-on engineers with expertise in various technical domains. They define and maintain IQVIA architecture standards and reference architectures, build reference implementations and provide guidance to engineering teams during the technical design committee process. In addition, technical architects will lead agile guilds for their domain – communities of practice that share technical knowledge across IQVIA's federated engineering teams.
The Position's Overview/Elevator Pitch: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal AI/ML Architect to join our Technical Domain Architecture team within the Architecture and Standards Group of our Global Technology Organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI and machine learning technologies, a proven track record of designing and implementing AI/ML solutions, and the ability to lead and inspire engineering and data science teams. As the principal AI/ML architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping IQVIA's AI initiatives and driving innovation across our organization.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement standards and best practices for AI/ML model development, including data processing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation and deployment Lead the designs of IQVIA-wide systems such as multi-agent generative frameworks Contribute to the design of the Internal Developer Portal (DevIQ) related to MLOps, MLE productivity tools and the use of AI services via frameworks, libraries and tools. Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies, and incorporate cutting-edge techniques into IQVIA's AI strategy Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data science and machine learning teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation Lead an agile guild and conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the organization's knowledge of AI techniques and tools Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirementsQualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and architecture. Proven experience as an AI/ML Architect or in a similar role within a global technology organization. Expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data science tools Expertise with MLOps tooling (e.g. MLFlow) Strong understanding of data engineering and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R and Java Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $142,800.00 - $265,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
