Dishwasher $16/hr This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dish-washing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility. This job operates in a kitchen environment. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.Essential Functions:Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machineSort and stack clean dishesChange dish water in dish machine every hourWash pots, pans and trays by handRemove trash and garbage to dumpsterFill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutionsWipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dryNotify manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperaturesDo not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands firstOther duties as directedRequirements:Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop or kneelMust frequently move or lift objects up to 25 poundsAble to read, write & speak English to a 10th grade level To understand recipes & station guides, sanitary practices, proper equipment use, service etiquette, & safety guidesDays and hours of work vary based on need.
