Description :Properly identify and prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform diagnostic x-ray exams following established protocols and procedures for patient care and safety in an outpatient urgent care settingAccurately select the correct patient, anatomy and protocols to complete examConfirm, schedule and log completed radiologic procedures in computer and site schedulesClean and maintain equipment and examination rooms at all timesDirecting patients to examination roomsEnsuring rooms are setup for efficient patient careOrdering and re-stocking of medical suppliesTeam support to medical providers and front deskMinimum Requirements:Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is requiredNYS Radiologic Technologist license and current AART registration is requiredDemonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic x-ray proceduresKnowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics necessary to safely perform x-ray examsBasic knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiologyAbility to communicate clearly and provide routine diagnostic imaging procedures to children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with consideration to cultural and developmental stages during the exam processMulti-tasking as a team player in a fast-paced settingExcellent customer service skillsExperience:Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic x-ray proceduresKnowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics necessary to safely perform x-ray examsBasic knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiologyAbility to communicate clearly and provide routine diagnostic imaging procedures to children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with consideration to cultural and developmental stages during the exam processMulti-tasking as a team player in a fast-paced settingExcellent customer service skillsSalary Range: $29.12/hr - $42.19/hrThank you for your interest in Albany Medical CenterAlbany Medical is an equal opportunity employer.This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
