Interested in joining our Team?DescriptionTeam Fishel is hiring Class A Apprentice Electric Lineworkers for our Chesapeake, VA operation. The purpose of an Apprentice Lineworker at Team Fishel is to participate and successfully complete a rigorous Journeyman Lineworker training program and develop on-the-job skills on the way to becoming an Electric Lineworker. Apprentice Lineworkers will be able to competently and confidently perform in a highly skilled and safe manner all the duties associated with the construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage electrical power systems up to and including Transmission, Distribution, Overhead, and Underground.RequirementsPossessing a Class A Commercial Driver License strongly desiredPrevious experience or education in electric linework preferredParticipate in the Apprentice Lineworker training program including after-hours studiesCut and clear brush at ground levelProvide ground support for lineman operating in aerial bucket, on pole, trenches, or underground facility environmentOperate heavy machinery involved with digging, setting, and tamping poles, pulling overhead and underground conductors, digging and back-filling trenches or other excavations and hurt man rescue by operating platform controls of aerial bucketAssemble & disassemble hardware for overhead & underground installations in a de-energized environment with instruction from Journeyman LineworkerOther duties as assigned Bilingual and prior construction experience is a plusBenefitsHealth InsuranceWellness ProgramLife Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings ProgramProfit SharingPaid Leave BenefitsTeammate Assistance Program ()Team Fishel offers excellent industry training and a career development path for our Teammates.
