Material Handler

Location: Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
Pay: $23–$25/hr

A Medical Device client in Orange County is looking to hire a Material Handler / Inventory Control Specialist / Warehouse Specialist / Shipping & Receiving Clerk. This role is primarily responsible for inventory control and logistics, ensuring efficient handling and movement of materials within the organization.

• Performing work order transactions such as picking, kitting, and delivering kits to the production floor.
• Performing daily receiving, shipping, inventory control, kitting, and pulling materials for work orders, expediting materials into manufacturing.
• Expediting materials and items through receiving, incoming quality inspections, to the manufacturing floor, storage areas, or requestors of material.
• Filling requisitions, work orders, or material requests and distributing items to production workers or the assembly line.
• Performing physical inventories.
• Shipping and preparing parcels for customer orders (domestic and international) while complying with export regulations and company policies.
• Moving heavy shipments with a forklift.
• Performing receiving activities for all incoming materials accurately and timely.
• Managing receiving, shipping, inventory control, proper storage, and movement of materials in the company's warehouses.
• Ensuring compliance with procedures and updating work instructions as required.
• Conveying materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorting and placing materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product codes.
• Assembling customer orders from stock, placing orders on pallets or shelves, and conveying them to packing or shipping departments.
• Arranging stock parts in specific sequences for assembly.
• Utilizing QAD to enter records and ensuring transactions are performed correctly.
• Providing support to cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventory and distribution management while complying with procedures.

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of safety and legal procedures for handling and receiving goods.
  • Experience with FedEx and UPS online procedures and software.
  • Direct experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, and domestic/international shipping.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (QAD preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certifications: Forklift certification strongly preferred.
