Posting ID: 28857Position Type: Regular City: Fulton, AL, United States Location: Fulton Plant The Opportunity:As an important member of the sawmill Maintenance Team, the successful applicant will be an energetic team player who will assist with the Maintenance and Purchasing departments in tracking, organizing, ordering and maintaining the maintenance equipment, parts and tools Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities:Work closely with the Purchasing Manager and Maintenance Planner to ensure the mill has ample and available suppliesKeep parts room and work area clean, organized and safeAdministration of inventory purchase orders, requisitions, and transfersManage inventory counts as requiredAssist Millwrights/Electricians with finding parts Send requisitions for pricingCoordinate shipping of materialsReview, generate, process and update Work Orders and maintenance schedulesUpdate maintenance department manpower and work schedulesDaily filing of maintenance and purchasing documentationAdditional administrative duties that support the maintenance team Requirements:2-5 years of experience in an industrial setting, maintenance environment preferredStrong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn new programsPrevious parts person/buyer experience would be an assetExceptionally organized and courteousAbility to work both independently and in multiple team environmentsForklift Exp for unloading parts and moving parts in warehouseAt Canfor, we embrace diversity, valuing everyone’s unique qualities.
