Job Summary :Join the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center, where we design and develop advanced radar and early-warning sensor systems for the warfighter. We are seeking Systems Engineering Interns who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and are eager to support innovative sensor and radar programs.You will work alongside experienced engineers to define system architecture, develop requirements, perform analysis and modeling, and support integration, testing, and flight activities across the full product lifecycle.This position is onsite role.This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below or Post-Graduate standing:(Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Sophomore by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment.(Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment.(Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment.Post-Graduate – has completed a Bachelor’s degree program and is preparing to start or is enrolled in Graduate Studies programWhat You Will DoSupport development, analysis, and documentation of system requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures.Assist with radar mode requirement development and system performance assessments.Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, and C++.Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and hands-on laboratory testing.Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post-deployment activities.Perform trade studies, functional/physical analyses, and MBSE-based system design.Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.Basic Qualifications This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM fields.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).Academic or internship experience with: Hands-on testing of electronic equipment in labsTroubleshooting electronic or system-level issuesData analysis using MATLAB and/or C++Preferred Qualifications:3.0 cumulative GPA or higherCoursework or experience in Systems Engineering or radar fundamentals.Experience or project work in:Algorithm designRequirements developmentSoftware/hardware integrationConfiguration managementProgramming experience in Java, C++, Python.Experience with requirements management in DOORSLeadership involvement in student organizations, athletics, or community service.Experience with:Signal processing, control theory, statistics, information theory, and detection methodsImaging/pattern recognitionData filtering (Kalman, batch, optimal estimation)Advanced statisticsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to multitask, solve problems independently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.What We Offer: Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
