Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehab is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities.True PRN as needed supportSupportive DOR and in-house teamYour expertise in patient care and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology will be essential in developing effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs.ResponsibilitiesAddress client’s aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life qualitySelect and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventionsApply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable componentsAssess client’s home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilitiesRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its useGuide and educate family members and caregiversObserve, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goalsCollect data and document processes followedRegularly follow-up clientSkillsProven working experience as occupational therapistExcellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapyFamiliarity with ADLs evaluation toolsCurrent knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the professionExcellent interpersonal communication skillsValid license to practice occupational therapyBS degree or greater in occupational therapyCareer Advantages:Rare in-house opportunityPractice in an environment built on integrity and progressive, ethical careElectronic documentation systemWork collaboratively with a supportive team of therapists and nursing staffThe rehab team is strategically designed with growth, opportunity, and career enrichment in mind We believe our commitment to compassionate care, innovative solutions, patient focused programs and a reward-for-results culture will enrich the lives of patients and employees alike.
