The Protective Services Officer is responsible for patrolling JHMI campus via foot, mobile unit or bicycle to protect against illegal activities, theft, fire, vandalism, hazardous conditions, infringements, etc. Hear from our hospital president Hours: Day/Evening/Overnight Education: Work requires a comprehensive knowledge of security functions as would normally be acquired by significant experience in a security operation preferably with completion of a High School degree or equivalent. Requires acceptable completion of basic security officer training. Assignment to the Communications Center requires successful completion of 911 and Communications dispatch training. Requirements: Valid drivers license with less than 5 points. Valid Guard Card 21 yeard of ago High School Diploma or GED Work Experience: The candidate must have one (1) year of security experience in the Protective Services Officer program at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions or be a law enforcement officer who has graduated from an accredited law enforcement training academy. Must be at least 21 years of age. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
