BWFC is looking for a talented Mechanical Assembler who will join our 1st shift team at our Akron, Ohio facility.Essential Job Functions:Work from assembly drawings, specifications and instructions to plan work in proper sequences. Assemble sections of machines or various combinations thereof as indicated by customer specifications. Perform assembly operations to exacting tolerances, work with various types of parts including rotating shafts, gear trains, mechanical structures, and pneumatic controls. Operate various hand and power tools involved in assemblyUse precision measurement tools to level and align work, detect and eliminate run-out, work to close tolerances with a demand for square, concentricity and parallelism.Detect defective material, out of tolerance components or operating difficulties and report to supervisor describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actionsComplete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements.Able to multi-task various duties throughout the day as needed, with an ability to be versatile and flexible.Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; be able to independently solve problems while interacting with different teammates on daily processes and flow.Actively participate in team meetings to effectively communicate any discrepancies and help resolve production issues.Work in accordance with established safety procedures.Maintain work areas and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe fashionPerform other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications and Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent1+ years of machine building, mechanical assembly, or related work experience#LI-JK2Barry-Wehmiller is an equal opportunity employer.
