About the Role Our client, a national AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking Healthcare Litigation Defense Attorneys in California to join its defense team. Attorneys will handle healthcare-related defense matters including professional liability, employment disputes, regulatory issues, and general liability claims. The position can be fully remote or involve occasional office appearances. This is an excellent opportunity to work with experienced defense litigators on complex healthcare matters, gaining exposure to high-profile clients and sophisticated litigation strategies. Key Responsibilities Manage healthcare defense litigation matters, including discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation. Draft pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents focused on healthcare defense. Conduct legal research and factual analysis to support defense strategy. Collaborate with senior defense attorneys, co-counsel, and support staff. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders regarding healthcare defense matters. Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active California Bar license required. 1 or more years of litigation experience preferred, ideally in healthcare defense, professional liability, employment defense, or general liability defense. Strong written and verbal advocacy, research, and analytical skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple defense matters independently while collaborating with a team.
