Teach children 4 month to 12 years old water safety & swimming techniques using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum Provide positive reinforcement to students Communicate to parents on swimmers’ progress All instructors are required to get lifeguard & CPR/AED certified Lifeguard and maintain safety in the water Administer first aid when necessary Respond to emergencies in and around the pool What qualities make a good swim instructor? Patient - every swimmer learns at their own pace. Being willing to help each student as an individual is key to their success and yours Considerate - our best swim instructors care about their students. It’s about getting to know the kids that you see every week and being excited to see them again. Genuine - you don’t have to be especially outspoken or especially serious, just be yourself. Different teachers can have equal success - Remember, every child learns in their own way Responsible & Consistent - You will be responsible for not only the success of your students, but also for their safety.
