Posting Details Position Information Job Title Assistant Clinical Professor/Assistant Professor Position Number Department Physical Therapy Salary $, Job Summary/Description The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a nine month, tenure-track or clinical/non-tenure-track faculty position that emphasizes teaching of graduate courses in physical therapy, with a strong background in successful teaching and scholarly activities. Applicants with expertise in neurological rehabilitation are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a 9-month appointment with the possibility of teaching summer classes. Typical Duties/Job Duties Teaching, advising students, performing scholarly activities, serving on program, department, college, and university committees Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired area of expertise and teaching background include the Neuromuscular Physical Therapy Track. Experiences teaching in neurophysiology, neuroanatomy and neuromuscular clinical exam and management preferred. Additionally, there is the possibility of teaching/co-teaching in the summer if so desired. Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate (e.g. PhD, EdD, ScD, DSc, DPT, or tDPT) – terminal degree preferred; Advanced clinical competency such as fellowship/residency training or ABPTS certification preferred; Established record of academic or clinical teaching experience preferred. Eligibility for physical therapy licensure in Texas is preferred.
