Key Responsibilities Perform machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications. Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and molds for various manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues during setup or production. Conduct first-piece inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications. Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Document setup parameters, maintenance activities, and production issues accurately. Collaborate with production operators and engineers to optimize machine performance and efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in machine setup, operation, and changeovers in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Skilled in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for production equipment. Adherence to safety protocols and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for fixture design or program review. Experience with industrial robotics setup, programming, or troubleshooting. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles for process optimization. Familiarity with PLC programming platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) for advanced troubleshooting. Experience with advanced metrology tools such as CMMs or vision systems.
