This position is a Full time role requiring Tuesday-Saturday Shifts from 9am-5pmPrep Cook job descriptionWe have a vacant spot for a well-organized and committed prep cook. Our culinary environment is fast-paced and we expect you to be able to work as part of a team. Your main duties will include prepping the ingredients, dishes, and cookware needed to perform the daily needs of the back of house operations. On occasion, you will be asked to assist in the cleaning and organization of the back of house in making sure all stations are operating smoothly. Our goal is to employ a person with excellent time management and communication skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks. You will be working in a kitchen for most of your workday. This means that you will also have to abide by food safety procedures and regulations.Prep Cook duties and responsibilitiesPrep Cooks perform various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons. Their duties and responsibilities include:Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen managerLabeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelvesWashing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meatsMeasuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredientsFollowing MOD prep list to restaurant standards.Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchenAdhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standardsKeeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to order resupplyPrep Cook Job Requirements:Must have a year plus experience as a prep cook in a fill service restaurantMust be proficient in operating with different types of dishesMust know and follow all food safety proceduresMust have communication skills ( a Moderate Level of English speaking is required)Must be able to prioritize tasks
