This position supports the recruiting efforts for Baker Roofing branches, including job boards, job fairs, and local networking. The Recruiter will aid with both candidate and hiring team workflows to determine the status of employment and navigate any roadblocks associated with the process.RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty adequately. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Minimum High School graduate or GED, bachelor's degree preferredValid Driver’s License: RequiredPreferred Recruiting or HR experience (construction recruiting experience a plus)Computer: Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a plusLanguage: Fluent in English and Spanish is requiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, and other office procedures and terminologyStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team settingSelf-starter who can effectively plan aheadAbility to effectively handle and prioritize multiple concurrent tasksAble to maintain a high level of confidentiality Able to engage with diverse teams and clients to foster positive relationships and ensure collaborative successAble to demonstrate enthusiasm and energy in all interactions, contributing to a dynamic work environmentEmbrace a positive, outgoing demeanor that enhances team morale and motivates othersEssential FunctionsHandling all recruiting initiatives (active and passive) for Baker Roofing branch locationsReviewing candidates in JazzHRActive recruiting/sourcing through Indeed, LinkedIn, and in-person eventsConducting biweekly calls with General Managers, Department Heads, or other Hiring Managers to assess branch specific needsHost new hire orientations twice a week covering the company's policies and procedures as well as safety protocols for all Baker Roofing branch locationsOwn the full new-hire setup process in ADP, ensuring compliant I-9 completion and that all of the employee's personal information is accurately documentedPosting and maintaining job requisitions every 14 to 21 days (roughly 70 jobs total)Reviewing candidates and deciding on next step in workflowScheduling phone screens with viable candidates for each branchUpdating applicant information through the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and dispositioning accordinglyProviding training to new Hiring Managers for the hiring process and standard operating proceduresReviewing branch specific hiring requests and collecting needed documents from both Hiring Manager and candidate to initiate the background and/or motor vehicle reportInputting branch specific candidate information to run a background and/or motor vehicle report to confirm approval for hire statusReviewing background and motor vehicle reports to ensure hiring criteria of available positions are metCommunicating hiring approval back to the Hiring Manager and branch following the pre-employment processesMonthly expense reconciliation using ConcurDeveloping recruiting plans for geographic regions for Baker Roofing branches; career fairs, university/high school outreach, veteran opportunitiesSubmitting tickets for IT items that are needed for branch specific new hiresTraveling to branch specific hiring events or trainings 15-20% annuallyPhysical DemandsMust be able to lift 25 pounds regularly. Must be able to drive between various offices.
