Manufacturing Engineer – Operations Support Dept: Operations Support (640) Reports To: Director of Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Location: Riverside, CA (Onsite) Hours: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (OT as needed) Pay Range: $95k     Summary Supports manufacturing processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and the development of methods and work instructions. Collects and analyzes process-control data, reduces non-conformities, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and trains manufacturing personnel. Manages multiple engineering projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring ITAR compliance.     Key Responsibilities • Provide test engineering support • Lead and implement Lean/CI tools: 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Kaizen • Mentor plant floor staff in continuous improvement • Drive problem solving and waste reduction • Conduct time studies, line balancing, and layout optimization • Reduce bottlenecks and process limitations; support planning and maintenance • Develop and document standard work and production rates • Design, test, source, and justify tools, equipment, and machinery • Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer complaint resolution • Develop product quality plans and inspection methodologies • Maintain visual management boards • Collaborate with design engineering on component and sub-assembly testing • Interact effectively with all departments and manage shifting priorities     Qualifications • BS degree in a related field or 5–10 years in manufacturing/test engineering • Experience with air-separation equipment, manufacturing processes, and electrical troubleshooting • Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, process control, and FMEA (Green/Black Belt preferred) • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project-management skills • Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR     Computer Skills • ERP/MRP systems (EPICOR preferred) • Method of Manufacturing creation • Microsoft Excel & Word; Vantage ERP a plus     Physical Demands & Work Environment • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally • Quiet office environment; production floor may be noisy
