Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement new tooling, fixtures, and jigs for manufacturing processes. Analyze and troubleshoot tooling failures, implementing corrective and preventative actions. Optimize existing tooling designs for improved efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and extended lifespan. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and production requirements. Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of production tooling. Evaluate and select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for tooling components. Conduct tool trials and validations to ensure functionality, quality, and process capability. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Mastercam). Strong understanding of tooling processes such as injection molding, stamping, die casting, or machining. Experience in tool design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair. Ability to perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis and troubleshoot tooling issues. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis). Familiarity with G-code programming or CNC machine operation. Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications. Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
