Key Responsibilities · Provide training and ongoing support to facility Business Office Managers (BOMs) to ensure accurate and efficient billing practices. · Prepare and process claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing (manual and electronic). · Resolve claims from initial submission through payment, including addressing denials and rejections. · Assist BOMs with collections and ensure timely, accurate month-end close processes. · Audit facility billing and revenue cycle workflows to verify adherence to company standards and identify opportunities for improvement. · Participate in monthly A/R reviews and other assigned duties. · Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for critical processes such as triple-check reviews and resident trust fund management · Lead facility-level revenue cycle initiatives, including staff education, admission coordination, and social work support as it relates to business office only. Required Qualifications · Minimum 2 years of billing or business office experience in long-term care. · Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing regulations. · Familiarity with UB04 forms and electronic billing processes. · Experience with claim denials, appeals, and resolution. · Proficiency in MatrixCare (preferred). · Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. · Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
