Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of Deland - Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem OpportunitiesBlue Palms Health & Rehabilitation Center – DeLand, FLDepartment: In-House Subacute RehabilitationReports To: Physical Therapist / Director of RehabilitationSchedule: Flexible — Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem (Weekdays; some weekends/holidays as needed)   Position Summary Blue Palms Health & Rehabilitation Center of DeLand is seeking compassionate, team-oriented, and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care that promotes functional independence and supports patients on their recovery journey.   We proudly operate an in-house therapy model, fostering close teamwork, consistent communication, and a truly collaborative approach to patient care.   Key Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist in accordance with each patient’s individualized plan of care. Assist in implementing targeted therapy programs to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or minimize permanent physical disabilities. Accurately document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in condition per state, federal, and facility guidelines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members—including nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and case management—to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. Educate patients and their families/caregivers on home exercises and techniques to support ongoing progress after discharge. Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment. Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives as required.   Qualifications Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Previous experience in subacute rehabilitation or a skilled nursing facility preferred, but not required Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team   What We Offer Competitive pay Full-time benefits package (for eligible positions) Flexible scheduling for full-time, part-time, and per diem roles Supportive, team-centered work environment In-house therapy model — no contract agencies Continuing education and professional development support Opportunities for career advancement within a growing organization   Blue Palms Health & Rehabilitation Center of DeLand is committed to delivering exceptional care in a warm, supportive environment.
