Duties Description Under the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG25, within the Dedicated Support team, Office of Temporary Disability Assistance Portfolio, Duties include but are not limited to: • categorize and document requirements in a business requirements document • act as a liaison and interpreter between business and IT staff • maintain business rules and process documentation Minimum Qualifications List Appointment: Candidate must be reachable on the current Civil Service list for Business Systems Analyst 2.ORTransfer: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.ORNYHELPs Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and three years of business analysis experience.**An associate degree in a related field can substitute for two years of specialized experience; a bachelor’s degree in a related field can substitute for four years of experience; a master’s degree in a related field can substitute for five years of experience; and a doctorate in a related field can substitute for six years of experience.ORNon-Competitive Promotion (NCP): If there are no more than three qualified candidates in the promotion field for this position, the agency will request approval from the Department of Civil Service to fill this position via a non-competitive promotion (NCP) examination, pursuant to Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law. In order to be eligible for the NCP, candidates must be in the departmental promotion field and have one year or more in a permanent or contingent-permanent competitive, or 55b/c service in an Business Systems Analyst 1.
